Putting Families First

In today's busy world the family is often nothing more than a group of individuals living under one roof, strangers with the same last name.

This is not God’s intended plan for the family. The family is designed to be a place of comfort, support, acceptance, and love. It is also to be the main place that a child learns of and experiences God. It is the most influential factor in the child’s future as an adult.

When the family worships as a unit the child is more likely to continue in the faith and less likely to get involved in “high risk” activities.

Families First Sunday

Here at KC First Church it is important to us that we enable families to succeed. Separating the individuals in a family only adds to the stress placed upon the family. That is why we are intentional in giving opportunity for the family to attend a worship gathering together.

On the first Sunday of every month there is no Kids Worship gatherings. We ask that families take advantage of this opportunity to worship together and teach their children the importance of the worship gathering.

Families Living Faith

There is nothing more exciting than a family worshiping together. Imagine the impact upon a child when she sees her father bend his knees in prayer, or a son hearing his mother sing praises to God when he knows what she is going through in her life.

This shared life together is what God intended for the family. Life together is to include opportunities to gather in a worship setting where the faith is experienced and passed on to the next generation in a very real way.
