Growing Seasons

Life throws a lot at children these days. Not always do children understand these changes and transitions in life. Often times this causes pain and hurt in children that is hard for them to deal with.

 

Growing Seasons is a 10-week support group for children moving through major life changes. Children experience loss through a variety of life situations including the death of a loved one, divorce, a major move, adoption, etc...

 

Growing Seasons is designed for children ages 4 through 6th grade. It is a safe place for children to talk about their loss. Through this safe and accepting place the child learns to handle the pains they feel inside and thereby allow God's love to grow in them.

Growing Seasons' goal is to help children through the grief process toward:

• Acceptence of life's changes and losses,

• Forgiveness of those whom they perceive to have caused the changes,

• An understanding that despite the changes and losses, their Heavenly Father remians constant in His presence and His love.
