Neil MacPherson
Neil has served as Senior Associate pastor at Kansas City First Church since September, 1994. He previously served as Senior Pastor for 37 years in churches in Connecticut, Kansas, Missouri, and Maryland.
Neil holds a Bachelors degree in Philosophy from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts, as well as a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
His current responsibilities include pastoral care, supervision of adult ministries - including Prime Time Ministries for persons over 55 - and membership preparation.
His wife, Charlotte, is the Computer Lab teacher at Fire Prairie Middle School in the Fort Osage School District. Neil has two adult sons: Tom of Kansas City, Missouri and Paul, a pastor in Elmira, New York, as well as three grandsons.
He enjoys music, reading, antique cars and games.

Lyle Curtis
Lyle was elected to the position of Administrative Pastor in May of 2005. He and his wife, Dilda, have served the Church of the Nazarene as a pastoral team for 40 years.
For the two years prior to coming to KC First Church, Lyle worked with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries at Nazarene International Headquarters.
Lyle's holds a Bachelors degree in Religion and a Masters of Ministry degree from Southern Nazarene University, as well as two quarters of Clinical Pastoral Education from Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Oklahoma and Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He has a heart for others, and wishes to add to the overall fulfillment of the ministries of First Church by helping to cover the details of facilities, finance and personnel.
Lyle and Dilda have four grown children. Two are members here at KCFC: Laura Kunzler and Shelly Curtis. Their daughter Cindy is the oldest and resides in Naperville, Illinois; their son Tim lives in Olathe, Kansas.

Roger Allen
Roger became a part of this congregation as a child in 1980 and has the unique privilege of now serving in his home church. He has been the Music and Worship Arts Pastor at KC First Church since June, 2002.
Roger and his wife, Joy, met in college while both were pursuing degrees in music. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University, Roger went on to complete a Masters of Education at MNU, as well.
Prior to coming to KC First Church, Roger taught music for ten years in the public school systems of Missouri and Kansas. In the summer of 2001, God called him into ministry in the local church. Roger has a deep passion for using the creative arts to help people connect with God and each other.
The Allens have three children - Kaleigh, Emma and Camdanh.

Kris Mitchell
Kris joined KCFC's staff in June of 2005. He and his family moved from Jacksonville, Florida where Kris was on staff as the Children’s Pastor at a Nazarene Church. Kris has been involved in Children’s ministries since the early 1990’s.
Kris met and married his wife, Arla, while they were both students at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. Kris has a Masters in Family Therapy from Friends University in Kansas City and a Masters in Biblical Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kris loves leading children and families of children in knowing and experiencing the full power of Christ’s transforming love. Kris believes that churches have the unique and exciting blessing of welcoming children into the kingdom of God.
Arla and Kris adopted their oldest son, Peter, from Vietnam in October of 2002 and their youngest son, Jack from Vietnam in January of 2008.

Roger Hahn
Roger has served as a part-time Teaching Pastor at KC First Church since April, 1996.
His full-time job is at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri where he is Dean of the Faculty and Professor of New Testament. He is also a frequent contributor to denominational publications, especially in the area of Adult Sunday School resources.
Roger met and married his wife, Dorothy, while a student at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelors degree in Math Education and a Masters degree in Bible. He also earned the Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in New Testament studies from Duke University.
He has both the gifts and passion for teaching the Scriptures.
He and Dorothy live in Olathe, Kansas, with their three sons: Jonathan, Matthew and Timothy.
