| Prayer Support | Prayer is a vitally important part of who we are and what we do as Christians. It helps keep us connected to our Creator and also reminds us that we are not alone on this earth. We are connected, not only to God, but also to each other. As we lift each other up in prayer, we are reminded that we do not go through this life alone, but that we have others who journey with us. Please join us in this journey, praying together and living life together. If you would like to know what specific needs to pray for, please contact Pastor Neil MacPherson, nmm@kcfc.org. |

2nd Grade Sunday School |
Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:30, we need a teacher for our 2nd grade Sunday school class. This should be a person who likes working with kids, and gets excited about helping them learn about the Word of God. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Kris Mitchell, kmitchell@kcfc.org. |

Wednesday Night Kidz Clubz |
Wednesday Night Kidz Clubz meets from 7-8 pm, and it is open to kindergarten through 6th grade. We need adults who are passionate about serving the Lord through their love of children to consider working with any of these age groups. This is one more opportunity to teach these kids about the love of God and about his truth and promises in Scripture. If you are interested in helping with any of these age levels, please contact Pastor Kris Mitchell, kmitchell@kcfc.org. |

Camp and Mission Trip Support |
Do you remember your camp and mission trip experiences from long ago? Do you want to help our young people make memories of their own? Kansas City First Church has a great history of providing scholarships to help subsidize the cost of Camps and Mission Trips for our Children and Teens. By doing so, many have been able to attend these events who could not have otherwise. However, this tradition looks to be in jeopardy due to our current financial situation. THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN We need your help in providing scholarships for Kids' Camp, Teen Camp and our Youth Mission Trip to Juarez, Mexico (For every 20 people on the Youth Mission Trip, we will build a home from the ground up for a needy family). The cost of Kids' Camp this year is $115-$150 depending on age level; Teen Camp is $290, and the Youth Mission Trip is $450. Please consider giving above and beyond your regular tithe and offering by subsidizing half of one or more of these events for a young person at First Church. The amount you give for Camp an/or the Youth Mission Trip will go directly to help meet the needs of those wishing to participate. Thanks for your support-both prayerfully and financially. Blessings! |

Sunday School Assistants |
We still need two people to count the Sunday School attendance and offering each Sunday. This process takes about an hour and needs to be done sometime each Sunday. Individuals interested in these opportunities may contact Pastor Neil in the church office (816-942-9022), or Tim Griffin at 913-238-2144. | |
| College Group Leaders | Our college aged Sunday School class, Cafe 1823, is building and we are looking for new leadership. If you are interested in ministering to college aged young people, contact Pastor Dwayne (816-942-9022). If you fit this age range and are not yet a part of a Sunday School class, come check us out. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the Library. |

| Greeters | Sunday morning helpers who greet visitors and regular attenders as they come into service. These are also people who can help point visitors in the right direction to get to Sunday School and other various church activities. | |
| Jam Calls | Jam callers are the people who contact the church office to find out what local visitors have come to our church the previous Sunday to deliver jam to them. We have jars of jam delivered in gift bags that also contain information about our church. This is a great opportunity to meet people who are new to the church and to get to know some of the people who come through our doors. | |
| Homebound Visits | Several members of our church are unable to come on Sunday mornings for various physical reasons. These people are confined to their homes and also need to know they are loved and cared for by our congregation. We need people who are willing to set aside time to love and care for these people and help them to remember how much they mean to us. This can be as simple as a phone call, or just stopping by to chat with them for awhile. | |
| Notes/Cards | Sometimes we just need some encouragement. That is what these notes and cards are all about. If you like to encourage people and want the opportunity to brighten a person's day, think about helping with this ministry. | |
